Tomislav Stanich, concert pianist

Picture He was born in Herceg Novi, on the 4th December 1957. He completed zhe school for primary music education (piano studies) in his hometown. At the same time, he was completing classical high school in Herceg Novi, and middle music school "Luka Sorkocevic" in Dubrovnik, in the class of professor Ivo Brandolica. He continued his education at the Music Academy in Belgrade, in the class of the Russian pianist, professor Igor Lasko. He was awarded the French governament schoolarship. He stuied in the class of professor Theodor Paraschivescu. Thereafter he received scholarship of the American Utah University in Salt Lake City, Utah state, where he completed graduate studies in the class of Gladys Gladstone Rosenberg and Douglas Humphreys. Tomislav Stanich's pedagogical career began as a piano professor in the music school in his home town of Herceg Novi, and then in Comunity College in Salt Lake City.

He has performed in: Salt Lake City, New York and several other cities in the U.S., Belgrade, Dubrovnik, Zagreb, Podgorica, Herceg Novi and other big cities of former Yugoslavia. This year, 2010, he will have for the sixth time a concert at the Center of Arts of Jovan Kolundzija in Belgrade. He received numerous awards and recognitions. Since year 2001 he lives and works in Herceg Novi.
